Come join me at High Hampton Inn & Country Club for a 3-night, 4-day fly fishing school that will be the experience of a lifetime.

Located at a 3,600 foot elevation in the Blue Ridge Mountains, High Hampton Inn is at the heart of the new Western North Carolina Fly Fishing Trail. I was fortunate enough to be asked to help create the trail, which is the first of its kind in the country. (You can read more about the trail in the July/August edition of American Angler, or go to www.flyfishingtrail.com) The drastic drop in temperature - at least 15 degrees cooler than their low-lying neighbors - inspired the creation of the New 2010 Cool Schools.

The fly fishing "Cool" School includes accommodations, all meals, and three nights lodging. Instruction geared to any level, guided excursion to some of the finest trout waters in North Carolina, fly tying (optional), and much more.

The Cool School will also provide you, and/or your family, time to enjoy some of the 1,400 acre estate which includes golf, tennis, spa, boating, and hiking. You will see why guests have enjoyed High Hampton Inn and great fishing since 1923.

Cool School Dates for 2010:

Spring 2010
May 2,3,4,& 5

Fall 2010
October 3,4,5,& 6

Rates:
$320 for a single per night
$540 for a double per night

Fly fishing equipment will be provided if needed. If you have your own gear, please feel free to bring it with you. If you do not have a fly rod & reel and want to purchase one to use at the school, I highly recommend the A-5 series from Albright. You can go to their website at www.albrightflyfish.com and purchase one and have it sent to you or to High Hampton to your attention. Please tell them at Albright you will be attending the "Cool" School. Part of the first day instruction will include how to set up your rod, reel, & line properly.
